Workshop:

Critical Skills for Interpersonal and Clinical Effectiveness

  • Saturday November 29, 2025

  • Toronto, ON

  • In-Person

  • $ 425CAD

Workshop Description

  • You care for others every day—but how do you tend to yourself?

  • This interactive workshop is designed for physiotherapists and rehabilitation professionals who want to build long-term emotional wellbeing, prevent burnout, and enhance the quality of care they deliver.

  • Through a mix of evidence-based learning, guided reflection, and small-group discussion, you’ll explore how your emotions influence your clinical work and vice versa, and how self-care can become a consistent practice.

What You'll Learn:

  • Shift your mindset around self-care—from a luxury (occasional vacations) to a necessary part of your daily clinical practice (in-the-moment skills).

  • Recognize intense emotions that can arise during patient encounters and learn how to work with them.

  • Understand the role of emotions through a biopsychosocial lens and how they impact the rehab process —for you and your patients.

  • Create a personalized action plan to support your well-being specific to your needs as a helping professional.

Our Vision

At the 2025 Ontario Physiotherapy Association conference, we delivered the keynote "Managing Your Wellbeing as a Clinical Skill."

We explored the hazards of helping—witnessing intense emotions, overextending ourselves, and feeling like our efforts fall short.

This workshop builds on that conversation, offering practical, evidence-informed tools to support your own wellbeing as a healthcare provider.

Our Facilitation Philosophy:

We aim to cultivate an excellent learning experience, from an evidence-based perspective.

We prioritize co-creation, wellbeing, and community.
